A North West Traditional Healer Has Been Given A Life Sentenced For Killing His Girlfriend.
Thapelo Ramoruki 29, Sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his girlfriend who was set ablaze after stabbing her several times in the abdomen.
On 12 January 2021, Ramoruki the now convinced murder, and his girlfriend Tsheko, together with their one-month old child and Tsheko’s younger brother, drove to a cemetery in Sandfontein North West for a ritual meant for their minor baby.
According to the Prosecutor, Henry Mamothame,
“The three together with their child went to the cemetery to perform the ritual. When they were going for the ritual, the traditional man took with him a petrol, pellet gun, knife and traditional beer for that purpose.”
He further added that, “They then performed the ritual and subsequently moved to a nearby dam to clean themselves before going home. Ramoruki pointed a gun at himself then later pointed it at his girlfriend and ordered her to hand over the baby to her younger brother.”
He then instructed his girlfriend’s younger brother and the child to wait in the car, before proceeding to commit the heinous crime by stabbing her multiple times in the abdomen. and then pour the petrol over his girlfriend (Tsheko) and set her ablaze.
Tsheko younger brother who witness the attack and heard his sister screaming for help, drove off the car to seek help. He was arrested at the crime scene.
The victim was then rushed to Moses Kotane Hospital for medical treatment but she was pronounced dead in arrival.
The Prosecutor said, “According to the post mortem reports, the caused of the death was multiple injuries, caused by stab and burn wounds.”
The traditional healer appeared in the Mogwase Regional Court, and was found guilty for killing of his baby Mama and was given a life Sentence.
