Chelsea have agreed to terminate the contract of Marcos Alonso and are expecting him to join Barcelona. Meanwhile, the Blues have the option to sign Zakaria on a permanent deal.

The Switzerland international signed for Juve from Borussia Monchengladbach in January.

After signing for Barcelona, Aubameyang had a clause of 100 million euros (£83.4 million) in his contract, but has played only eight minutes this season. Despite being more than £1 billion in debt, Barcelona have spent nearly £200 million on new players.

Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly spent £255.3 million in his first transfer window as Chelsea’s owner, the highest amount any English club has spent.

Aubameyang said: ‘I’m really happy. It’s an honour to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start. I have some unfinished business with the Premier League so it’s good to be back and really exciting.’

Aubameyang left Arsenal on a free transfer after falling out with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. He got featured in the club’s All or Nothing documentary. He scored 92 goals in 163 games.

Aubameyang has scored 68 goals in 205 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal since joining the club on 31 January 2018. Only four players have scored more in that period.

Aubameyang scored 79 goals in 95 games for Borussia Dortmund under Thomas Tuchel, an increase of 38 goals per season on any other coach.
