Ghana Government Acquired New Vehicles For Ghana Armed Forces ” GAF ”

President Nana Akufo-Addo, has acquired and presented new VEHICLES, to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
To help combat the security threats, that is looming in the Northern part of Ghana’s border.

As some of our neighbouring countries, in the (ECOWAS) Block of West Africa are facing some security challenges, from extremists group, the like of Al qaeda and Boko Haram.

The vehicles according to graphic.com.gh, are made up of 40 JEEP JH, 6 TOYOTA HIACE mini bus, and 14 TOYOTA HILUX pick-up.
The president also cut sod, for the constructions of $24.8-MILLION US Dollar, four-units of 80-block housing projects, for the Ghana Armed Forces at the Burma Camp Accra, the Naval Base in Sekondi Takoradi, the Air Force Base in Tamale, the Fourth Infantry In Kumasi, and lastly the third Battalion in Sunyani.

The president also made it clear at the event, at Burma Camp Accra that, the retooling of the Ghana Armed Forces, was also to help deal with internal security challenges.

The President, also inspected ongoing project of 246-capacity Cadet Hospital, which are all been completed. ready to be handed over to serve it purpose, at the Ghana Military Academy Accra.

Speaking at the presentation event in Accra on Wed, 27th Oct 2021 the president said:

”Following the continued threat to security at the northern borders and the effort to ensure harmony in the country, the government decided to embark on the retooling, reconstruction and upgrading of equipment and facilities at the various military units and barracks to enhance the Ghana Armed Forces GAF’s state of preparedness.
