A substance believed to be crude oil has been found at Apremdo in the Western Region beneath the earth.
In a viral video going rounds on social media showed a black sticky substance which many believe it is a crude oil in the soil.

Nana Egya Kwamena XI, the Traditional ruler of the area has vowed to investigate to ascertain what the substance is after taken up the matter.
In a Joy News report, the Traditional ruler said the community will look into the matter to fingered out what the material could be.
Speaking to the media, Nana Egya Kwamena XI opined that the community can’t confirm the content of the black sticky material, but would bring in experts to found out what it is.
“This is a substance coming out from the ground found inside Apremdo. We’re taking a sample to Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) for laboratory test … ,” he said.
The chief and his elders are hoping the substance would turn out to be a meaningful carbon resource especially crude oil or mineral resources capable of assisting in transforming the area in terms of development.

“We are anxiously waiting to see the outcome of the test we want to conduct with Tema Oil Refinery,” he added.
