An Italian man turned up for his covid-19 vaccine with fake arms as to get the covid vaccination certificate without getting the jab.
The man, who was said to be in his 50s, arrived for his shot with a silicone mould covering his real arms, expecting it would go unnoticed.
But the nurse wasn’t fooled and he has been reported to the police.
The nurse explained to the local media that when she folded up his sleeve, she found out the skin “rubbery and cold” and the pigment “too light”.
After being found, the man tried to convince the nurse to overlook what she saw, la Repubblica reported. But she rather reported the man to the police for fraud.
The incident is now being investigated in Biella, north-west Italy, by the local police and also the man’s action have been criticized by other local officials.
The head of the Piedmont regional government, Albert Cirio, said in a statement on Facebook that, “the case borders on the ridiculous, if it were not for the fact we are talking about a gesture of enormous gravity”.
He added the ploy was “unacceptable faced with the sacrifice that our entire community has paid during the pandemic, in terms of human lives, the social and economic cost”.
The man was reported to be a health worker who has been suspended from his job because he has not been vaccinated. The jab is compulsory for all health workers in Italy.

As the La Repubblica referred to a post made by the man on social media, they said the incident may not have been a one-off.
The man’s post on Twitter featured a silicone male chest half-body suit, complete with fake arms and neck, that was on sale on Amazon for €488 Euros.
The man reportedly wrote on his Twitter page that, “If I go with this, will they notice? Maybe beneath the silicone I’ll even put on some extra clothes to avoid the needle reaching my real arms”.
Since August, Italians have needed a covid “green pass” showing proof of vaccination, a recovery from the virus or a negative test- to access train stations, restaurants, cinemas, gyms and swimming pools.
