VIDEO: 26 Suspected Internet Fraudsters “SAKAWA” Arrested In Kasoa

The Kaso Central East Police Command lead his men to arrest some 26 suspected Internet fraudsters, known as “SAKAWA” in their hideous, at Kasao Iron City in the Awutu Senya East Municipality in the Central Region of Ghana.
The suspects are made up of 24 men and 2 women, are mainly FOREIGNERS WITH NIGERIANS DESCENTS. Who are in the country with the soul purpose to defraud.
The arrest was made through intelligent tip off, Kasoa has becomes magnet to all sorts of crimes in recent memory. the government and the SECURITY apparatus need to come up with a lasting solution to curb what is slowly becoming a big problem.

Ghana growing economy, is attracting economy migration especial from the neighbouring West African like Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and most of all Nigeria. and it seems like Kasoa in the Central Region is the chosen destination for most of these pity criminals.
due to it geographical location, and the affordability of housing. Kasoa is more closer to the Capital City Accra, in the Greater Accra Region, than it Regional capital of the Central Region Cape Coast.
in most of the times Kasoa has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
In an interview with Adom News, the Commander, DCOP Okyere Boapeah, said the suspects have been screened for onward prosecution.
DCOP Boapiah also admonished Ghanaian landlords who rent out their apartments to foreigners, particularly Nigerians to conduct proper background checks on them, including finding out about their eligibility status from the immigration service.
He bemoaned majority of crimes committed at Kasoa and its environs are caused by Nigerians. They were in procession of 31 laptops, 26 assorted mobile phones, 3 machetes and suspected cannabis.
