Manchester United Open To Selling Ronaldo

Emerging reports as sighted on Skysports has that, Manchester United are open to selling their forward Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

The Red Devil’s constant message has been that the five-time Ballon D’or winner is not for sale this summer despite refusing to return to the club from his holidays, citing family reasons.

Well, the final decision will lie on the 37-year-old striker whether he will leave or stay at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has been trying to sell the Portuguese captain to other clubs, having compiled a dossier of his client’s immense sponsorship, social media and ‘new markets’ influence.

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is reportedly interested in signing Ronaldo for his new club but would need manager Thomas Tuchel’s approval.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is also busy trying to seal a move for Raheem Sterling away from Man City and Raphinha from Leeds United.

Bayern Munich is said to have back off with Barcelona and Napoli monitoring the situation.

The 37-year-old has not reported back to training at Carrington, citing family reasons, which the club have accepted.

Ronaldo’s absence comes amid informing United he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer if a suitable offer arrives.

Ronaldo was due to re-join his teammates on Monday but has instead been keeping fit at Portugal’s training base – Cidade do Futebol – for the past few days.

Ronaldo is reported to be frustrated at the lack of transfer activities to strengthen the current squad and also the 25 per cent salary cut off from his salary after United failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Talking about the Manchester Unitedd transfer, the club has already confirmed Tyrell Malacia signing from Feyenoord for €15m guaranteed fee plus €2m add-ons.

Christian Eriksen has also reportedly agreed to join the Red Devils with a 3-year contract and medical pending.

Meanwhile, deals for Frankie de Jong, Antony and Martinez are still ongoing.
