Man United Fans Mock Jurin Timber For Rejecting United After Signing Antony And Martinez From Ajax

Twitter is buzzing today as Manchester United fans took to the social media platform to troll Jurrien Timber for rejecting United.

The Ajax centre-back was close to joining Manchester United this summer but the deal broke down after Jurrien Timber said no to United.

The Netherlands defender rejected to join his former manager Erik ten Hag at United after former Man United manager, Louis van Gaal, now current coach of the Netherlands National team advised him to reject the Premier League giants.

Louis van Gaal threatened to drop Timber from the Dutch squad if he joined United. Out of fear of losing his position in the Dutch national team, he opted to stay at Ajax instead.

Following this, Man United went ahead to sign Timber’s former teammate Lisandro Martinez and now United have agreed a deal with Ajax to sign Brazilian winger Antony.

Antony who wanted to join his former manager Erik ten Hag at Man United pushed for the deal by boycotting training sessions and missing their last two games to force his way out of Ajax after they rejected $90m from United.

Last night, Man United and Ajax reached agreement for Antony’s move to reunite with Martinez and ten Hag after United submitted an improved bid of €95m plus €5m in add-ons.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are planning for Antony’s arrival and medical tests, while contracts have been approved by clubs and player side. Five year deal with option for further season.
