With just three matches into the start of the Ghana premier league 2021/2022 season, the Medeama Soccer Club and the Ashanti Gold Soccer Club have parted ways for their respective coaches.

Following a poor start to the season, Medeama’s Ignatius Osei Fosu and Ashanti Gold’s Ernest Thompson Quartey have been forced to leave their post.

While Ashanti Gold sits 10th on the league table with four points, Medeama also currently sits 14th position on the league table with just two points, prompts the management of the two clubs to work according to the pressure from their supporters to drop the coaches.

The Deputy CEO of Ashanti Gold football club, Mr Albert Commey confirmed in an interview yesterday that the two coaches collectively agreed to go their separate ways last Monday to allow for a new management of the club.

In the interview, he said Coach Thomas Duah who handled the Miners to certain stage last season, had been called back to act as an interim head coach for the club with an assist from the Brazilian Technical Director, Ricardo Da Rocha.

He expected the two coaches to be united in working and also produce good results for the club as they did last season.
