THE PRICES OF FUEL STILL GOES UP, NOTWITHSTANDING THE REMOVAL OF PSRL

Despite the removal of the price stabilization and recovery Levy (PSRL), the prices of fuel are dragging closer to GH¢7 per litre at main fuel trading stations.

The president of the republic of Ghana, his excellency president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accepted a petition from the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) to zero the PSRL for 2 months in order to stay the increasing reviews of petroleum prices.

The progress was made to headrest the buyers from feeling the full impact of the rising global prices of petroleum products.

However, on Friday, November 5th, the prices of petrol increased at various pumps in the country.

Both diesel and petrol are selling at GH¢6.75 and GH¢6.9 per litre, respectively.

Kwaku agyeman duah told Alfred Ocansey on 3FM’s Sunrise on Monday, November 1st, that the trend around this time will continue going up.

He also said,” We are still going to have some increments because the factors that affect the increments are still there. The increasing trend will continue”.

For the time being, it is ambiguous if the National Petroleum Authority(NPA) has completed legislative procedures to give results to the presidents zero PSRL.
