M N RidwanA devastating murder-suicide in West Greenwich, Rhode Island, has left a family and community in shock.
Danielle Arruda, a pregnant mother of two, was found dead in her home along with her children, aged five and two, after her husband took their lives in what authorities are calling a tragic and senseless act.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on January 3, 2025, West Greenwich police responded to a welfare check at the family’s residence at 15 Cheyenne Trail.
A concerned colleague had raised the alarm after Danielle, an escrow officer at Marinosci Law Group, failed to report to work for several days.
Police arrived to find “suspicious circumstances” and forced their way inside, discovering a gruesome scene.
All four family members were found dead from gunshot wounds, including Danielle, her children, and her husband.
Though authorities have not yet publicly identified the victims out of respect for the families, local reports confirm that Danielle Arruda was among the deceased.
She was a 31-year-old mother who was pregnant with her third child, due to give birth soon.
A paralegal and escrow officer by profession, Arruda had worked with the Marinosci Law Group since March 2023 and was also employed with Liberty Title & Escrow Co. in Warwick.
Her career in real estate was marked by dedication and professionalism.
The investigation, led by the West Greenwich Police and Rhode Island State Police, continues as they work to determine the exact timeline of the tragedy.
Reports indicate that Danielle had been absent from work for up to 10 days, suggesting the crime may have occurred during that period.
Neighbors, family members, and colleagues have expressed their devastation at the loss of Danielle and her children, who were described as beloved by everyone who knew them.
The community mourns the loss of a woman who had a promising future ahead of her, and her family remains in shock as they process this unimaginable loss.
