Black Stars and Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey’s former girlfriend, Gifty Boakye has finally broken her silence on their relationship and addressed the 2019 AFCON scandal.
Recall that during the AFCON 2019 tournament, the model and entrepreneur was accused of reportedly staying with the player in camp.

However, speaking in an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb, Gifty Boakye debunked those reports claiming she was only in Egypt for the player’s birthday.
In her own words;
“Thomas and I’s relationship was very public and against my wishes, It all started during the AFCON scandal which was worse,”
It was a rumuor because I don’t have time to sneak or be smuggled into any camp or I will ever do for anyone. I was invited there and everyone knew I was there and it was his birthday.
“So some journalist took matters in his hands to write those rumuors about me when I was there in Dubai and in Egypt at the actual game. But those were rumuors we put to end after we came to Ghana.”
Touching on the recent rape allegations against the Arsenal star, Gifty Boakye backed her ex-boyfriend’s innocence and went ahead to claim that she prays he does not get into any trouble.
“I pray for him daily and you know we are good,” she said. “I don’t want to see any black man, whether Ghanaian, American or British in that position. No matter what our difference were. I think prayer is key.”

Just two months ago, Thomas Partey trended on the internet for the negative reason after his ex-Moroccan girlfriend accused him of raping her.
Weeks after the aforementioned allegation, another lady claimed on social media that the footballer assaulted and raped her. She proceeded t drop a couple of screenshots from their chats to back her claims.
