CHELSEA FC ROMAN ABRAMOVICH STEP-DOWN FROM HIS ROLE AT STAMFORD BRIDGE

The owner of Chelsea Football Club, Roman Abramovich, the Russian Billionaire who bought Chelsea FC in July 2003, Has sensationally step-down from his role for the London base club, but still remain the owner of the club and committed to carry on investing in the interest of the club.

A new six member trustees has been appointed to carry on with the club daily affairs, the news come on the eve of Carabao Cup final against Liverpool FC, at the Wembley Stadium tomorrow afternoon Sunday the 27th February 2022.

The new six rulers of the Chelsea Football Club, will be lead by Chairman Bruce Buck, Blue Women’s boss Emma Hayes, head of the National Lottery Sir Hugh Robertson and Piara Powar.
The remaining two members are, Lawyer John Devine and Paul Ramos, Director of Finance.

In a statement published on the club website chelseafc.com tonight, Roman Abramovich said:
“During my nearly 20-year ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future, while also playing a positive role in our communities. I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart”.

“I remain committed to these values. That is why I am today giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea FC.

“I believe that currently they are in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, players, staff, and fans”.

The statement would come as a shock to many Blue supporters whose for years have enjoyed many success under Roman Abramovich Stewartship, since 2003 Chelsea FC have won five premier League titles, two Uefa champion league, one Fifa club world cup, two Uefa Europa League, five English FA cup, three English League cup and lastly two Community Charity Shield.

But current turns of events between Russia and Ukraine, with the European leaders looking to hit Russia and it Oligarchs hard with severe sanctions, with one Labour MP Chris Bryant calling for Roman Abramovich to be barred from owning Chelsea FC, have make it difficult for Abramovich to continue Overseeing the daily affairs of the club.
