The draw will set the stage for the tournament, which will feature 24 teams, including host nation Morocco, defending champions Côte d’Ivoire, and other top African teams such as Algeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Tunisia.

The draw will determine the groups for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

However, the draw will carry a bittersweet feeling for Ghana. As a four-time AFCON champion, Ghana’s absence from the 2025 edition is a huge disappointment, especially after failing to qualify for the tournament.

The Black Stars’ exclusion marks a significant blow to the team and their fans, as they had hoped to add a fifth title to their illustrious AFCON history.

Despite Ghana’s absence, the 2025 AFCON promises to be an exciting tournament filled with intense competition as Africa’s best teams battle for supremacy.

Fans are eager to see how the draw unfolds and which nations will be paired together in what is sure to be a thrilling competition.
