John Mahama Vows to Rescue Ghana From Crisis, Promises Tough Road Ahead

Ghana’s newly elected President, John Dramani Mahama, has vowed to lead the nation out of what he called an “abyss,” created by the outgoing Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.

In a heartfelt acceptance speech on December 9, 2024, Mahama acknowledged the tough road ahead and urged Ghanaians to prepare for a challenging journey of national recovery.

The former president, who secured a decisive victory in the 2024 general elections, outlined the daunting task his government would face, particularly in restoring the economy.
