Manchester United and Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has been nominated among 30 other footballer across the world for the 2022 Ballon d’Or award.
Cristiano Ronaldo has won the one the most prestigious awards in European football five times during his football career.

The Portugal skipper is currently thrilling two behind the record holder and Paris Saint-German forward, Lionel Messi (6).
However, Ronaldo holds a slim chance of winning the 2021/222 Ballon D’or award following a disappointing season campaign with Manchester United in both the Premier League and Champions League which saw them finish 6th in the league last season.
Lionel Messi, on the other side has been snubbed in the final 30 men footballers shortlisted to fight for the ultimate award.
Among other nominees include Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema.
Karim Benzema stance a good chance of winning this year’s Ballon d’Or ward following a successful season with club and country.
At Real Madrid, Benzema was a key influencer in helping his club to clinch a 13th Champions League title as well as winning the La Liga title as he won the golden boot in the same league.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have finally agreed personal terms with Adrien Rabiot.

This follows after Manchester United Director of football, John Murtough flew to Italy on Thursday and met Rabiot’s agent this morning to discuss the French star personal terms.
Earlier this week, Znewsgh.com reported that the Red Devils had reached agreement with Serie A side Juventus in a €17m fee rising to €20m for the signing of the French international.
However, the final stages to get the deal finalize lied on agreeing a suitable personal terms with Adrien Rabiot’s agent, who is also his mother.
Italian ace sports journalist, Fabrizio Ramano just confirmed that John Murtough has been able to struck a personal terms deal with Rabiot’s mother and United are now waiting for the player to fly to Manchester to complete the deal subject to medical.
