A heated exchange between Manchester City’s coach, Pep Guardiola, and a mocking fan has surfaced online, showing the typically composed manager in a rare outburst.
The 24-second video, filmed in the heart of Manchester, captures the City boss angrily confronting a fan who taunted him after his team’s defeat in the FA Cup final against Manchester United.
In the clip, Guardiola, dressed in a dark grey suit and black tie, is seen walking down a street alongside his son, Marius, and another companion.
As the group strolls through the city center, a man approaches Guardiola and says, “Ah mate, just because you lost.”
Guardiola, visibly irritated by the remark, quickly spins around to face the fan, retorting, “You know what is lost?” before attempting to approach him.
The fiery response is cut short as both his son and the man with him intervene, physically holding Guardiola back to prevent further escalation.
The incident is believed to have occurred shortly after Manchester City’s defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup final, a loss that left the usually calm Guardiola visibly upset.
While the video has sparked significant online attention, it’s clear that Guardiola’s temper flared due to the fan’s disrespectful provocation.
Though the confrontation was brief, it offers a rare glimpse into Guardiola’s emotional side, showing how even the most composed coaches can have their limits when faced with public criticism.
