M N RidwanPopular Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has addressed the claims made by Kofi Mole that he contributed to the lack of traction for their song “Makoma” by failing to show up for the video shoot.
The allegations, first made by Kofi Mole on social media, have now been confirmed by the video director Yaw Skyface.
According to Kofi Mole, Sarkodie’s absence from the shoot hindered the song’s success, despite Mole’s repeated attempts to contact him.
Mole claimed that Sarkodie did not show up for either of the two scheduled days of filming, leaving the production crew in a bind.
This accusation was backed by Yaw Skyface in an interview on Hitz FM with DJ Slim.
Skyface stated that multiple attempts were made to reach Sarkodie, but the rapper was unavailable for both filming days.
He also added that he was unsure about the specific details of the communication between Kofi Mole and Sarkodie, but confirmed that Sarkodie was absent.
Upon discovering the interview, Sarkodie took to social media platform X to clarify his side of the story.
He explained that any miscommunication between him and Kofi Mole was unintentional. Sarkodie, who expressed respect for Mole, assured fans that he doesn’t engage in games when it comes to his work.
He also urged for his name to be left out of the ongoing drama, emphasizing that he either fully commits to a project or does not participate at all.
In his post, Sarkodie wrote: “Yaa monma me din nda kakra me sr3 mo … have no idea about this and if it actually happened there was miscommunication somewhere only responding to this cos I got love for my superstar @kofi_mole I don’t play games … I’m in or not.”
The public drama sparked various reactions from fans and social media users. Some expressed concerns about the management of Sarkodie’s team, suggesting that better coordination could have avoided the situation.
Others defended the rapper, acknowledging that misunderstandings can happen in the fast-paced entertainment industry.
As the dust settles on this issue, both Kofi Mole and Sarkodie seem to have put the matter to rest, with Sarkodie’s clarification serving as an attempt to clear his name and focus on his future projects.
