Accept Postings To Rural Areas President Akufo-Addo To Doctors

Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo , had made passionate appealed to health care professionals in the West African Country, especially Doctors and Nurses, to accept posting to the rural and more deprived areas in the country, as their humanity services is equally needed in those part of the country.

The president speaking at the 60th Anniversary Lecture of the University of Ghana Medical School, Nana Akufo-Addo expressed concern about the marginal number of healthcare professionals, Doctors, Dentist and Nurses. at the regional and Districts Hospitals, describing health care professionals who refused posting to these areas as distressing.

Causing unnecessary stress to the people who live and work in those areas.

In his speech the President tasked the Medical Professionals, to follow the good examples of their forebearers who accepted postings to the rural areas of the country, to serve the most needy.

ASANTEHENE-EDUCATION SYSTEM MUST PRODUCE CREATIVE GRADUATES NOT CONSUMERS

” I urge all Doctors both old and new, to accept posting to the deprived communities in the country.”

” My Government will continue to pursue policies that will modernise and improve the health sector.”

“My Government is aiming to achieve Universal Health Care for all Ghanaians, where money will not be a barrier in assessing healthcare.” He added.

The President also donated a 51 seater bus to the school to help in their quest to train more healthcare professionals.
