President Touray Designates New ECOWAS Ambassadors

On January 16, 2023, at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, accredited new Ambassadors to ECOWAS.

The accredited envoys were Ms. Joanna Tarnawska, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Annett GUNTHER, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Wouter PLOMP, Ambassador of the Netherlands, and Ms. Annika HAHN-ENGLUND, Ambassador of Sweden to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

After accrediting the envoys to ECOWAS, President Touray spoke with them about areas of current and future cooperation in relation to the four strategic goals of the current administration.

In order to ensure shared prosperity for the people of the region, he reassured them that ECOWAS will continue to build and expand areas of partnerships and collaboration with their countries.
