Stonebwoy Reveals the Reason Behind His Collaboration with MC Portfolio

Stonebwoy has opened up about his decision to bring MC Portfolio onto his team, crediting the latter for his honest, unbiased, and assertive approach to commentary.

Speaking in an interview with Ike De Unpredictable on Angel FM, Stonebwoy highlighted that it was MC Portfolio’s distinct perspective that caught his attention and led him to make the move.

According to the reggae-dancehall star, what made Portfolio stand out was his ability to speak the truth without sugarcoating, regardless of the situation or the side he’s on.

“MC Portfolio stood out to me because of how he speaks the truth, no matter the side he’s on.

He doesn’t sugarcoat things or get caught up in the emotional or political drama that often clouds the industry,” Stonebwoy shared.

Stonebwoy revealed that upon first hearing Portfolio’s commentary, he knew that he had found someone he could trust and work with.

He was impressed by how Portfolio maintained objectivity and avoided the bias that often affects many commentators in the entertainment industry. “When I first heard him, I knew he was someone I could work with.

His commentary was different, and that’s why I decided to bring him on board,” he added.

Additionally, Stonebwoy took the opportunity to address misconceptions surrounding his career, particularly with regards to his long-standing presence in the music industry.

“I’ve been in this industry since 2009,” Stonebwoy clarified. “Some people in the industry act like I just showed up, but that’s far from the truth. I’ve put in the work, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.”

Stonebwoy also reflected on an issue within the industry where many commentators often avoid objective criticism in favor of sycophantic praise.

He pointed out that a lot of people in the field get carried away with sentiment, politics, and favoritism, which is why MC Portfolio’s honest approach is so refreshing.

“MC Portfolio? He’s never been afraid to speak his mind. That’s what sets him apart,” Stonebwoy concluded.
