President Mahama Appoints Justina Nelson as Acting CEO of Mineral Income Investment Fund

M N RidwanIn a swift move following the revocation of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mineral Income Investment Fund (MIIF), President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Ms. Justina Nelson as the acting CEO of the Fund.
The announcement came in a letter signed by Felix Ofosu Kwakye, which revealed that Ms. Nelson, who currently serves as a Group Head at Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, will assume the role.
Her experience includes oversight responsibilities for the energy and commercial banking sectors at the bank.
Ms. Nelson brings a wealth of expertise to the MIIF, holding a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Ghana.
Her legal and business acumen, combined with her experience in the banking industry, is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the Mineral Income Investment Fund.
This appointment marks an important development for the MIIF, which plays a critical role in managing Ghana’s mineral revenues to fund national development.
Ms. Nelson’s leadership will be closely watched as she takes on the responsibility of guiding the Fund during this transitional period.
