Nigerian Workers Appoint New NLC Executives

On February 7 and 8, the Nigeria Labour Congress, or NLC, hosted its 13th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference, during which 13 new members of the National Administrative Council, or NAC, were chosen to serve as the Congress’s leaders for the ensuing four years.

As President of the newly elected NLC NAC, Joseph Ajaero of the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, is in charge.

Below are the other members with their respective positions:

Audu Amba- Deputy President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers

Prince Adewale Adeyanju – Deputy President of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria

Kabiru Sani – Deputy President of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (Deputy President).

Stephen Okoro – the National Union of Civil Engineering, Construction, Furniture, and Wood Workers, NUCECFWW

Ambali Olatunji – National Treasurer

Benjamin Anthony – Vice President

Michael Akuma Nnachi of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, NANNM -Vice President (Financial Secretary).

Prince Williams Akporeha- National Trustee of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG)

Babatunde Goke Olatunji – Internal Auditor of the National Union of Chemical, Rubber, Leather, and Non-Metallic Products Employees (NUCFRLANMPE)

Mohammed Ibrahim – Senior Staff of the Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) -Internal Auditor

Garba Ibrahim – Internal Auditor of the National Union of Food, Beverage, and Tobacco Employees (NU (Ex-Officio).
