As the semi-finals of the National Science & Maths (NSMQ) Quiz prevailed yesterday, November 23, 2021, the schools who qualified for the grand-finale are Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (Legon based senior high school in Accra), Keta Senior High Technical School ( based in Dzelukope, a town in the Keta District Municipal of the Volta Region) and Prempeh college ( based in Sofoline, a town in Kumasi in the Ashanti region).
The first contest of the semi-finals was between the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC), St. Peter’s SHS and the Chemu SHS.
As at the end of the first round PRESEC had already dominated the competition with 24 points against St. Peter’s SHS and Chemu SHS who had 12 points and 8 points, respectively. The other schools couldn’t catch up, for which PRESEC won that contest with 50 points, as against the 34 points of St. Peter’s and 21 points of Chemu SHS.
The second contest featured Keta SHS, Wesley Girls Senior High and the Tamale SHS.
The Keta based school, the Keta SHS did their best to take control of the competition and won to the grande finale of the competition with 53 points against the 35 points of Wesley Girls SHS and 31 points of Tamale SHS. And this marks the first time ever Keta SHTS qualified for the NSMQ finals.

The last contest took off between Opoku Ware SHS, Prempeh college and KNUST SHS.
Prempeh college fought hard and qualified to the grand finale of the NSMQ with 67 points, Opoku Ware SHS and KNUST SHS had 59 points and 39 points respectively.
Opoku Ware school tried their best to catch up with the the Prempeh in the second round but they couldn’t, the Prempeh guys were really good.
For Opoku Ware Senior High School the went out with their heads high with 59 points, that could had send them to the final in any other day. Prempeh College were simple uncatchable.
