A YamoahLasmid joined Highly Spiritual Music Label in 2020 after being crowned the winner of MTN Hitmaker 8. Lasmid exit Highly spiritual music after Mr Drew also left.
Lasmid’s exit was confirmed by the music record label boss David Kwadwo Kyei widely known as
Kaywa during a discussion on Adom TV’s show tym with Andy Dosty on Sunday June 4, 2023.
Lasmid’s decision to depart the label was caused by some internal problems.
Kaywa hinted on some internal issues and despite the conversations he had with Lasmid his mind was made up with exiting th record label.
“The conversation with Lasmid has been a back and forth but it was way before VGMA, he started trumpeting ‘I want to go’, ‘I want to go’ a long time ago.
There’s a back story but i wouldn’t wanna make it public”. Kay stated.
In an interview with Kingdom FM mentioned by MyNewsGH.com, Lasmid said “I’m not ready to talk about what exactly happened”.
Kaywa says that Lasmid’s decision to leave the label was influenced by his association with other artistes.
Kaywa in an earlier interview expressed his dissapointment in Lasmid exit from Highly spiritual music.
Lasmid speaking on Kingdom FM said “I didn’t know leaving Kaywa’s highly spiritual will be a dissapointment to him. I never knew about that. I believe when you do something wrong, that is when people get hurt or feel disappointed but that is different in my case”.
“However, if people believe i have done something wrong, then I will address whatever issues it is at the right time. I’m still cool with Papa and I’m sure about that because we still talk. I was even at his mother’s funeral recently”.
Kaywa, however assured fans that at the right time, the entire truth would be out.
