Dr. Wilberforce Aggrey, a lecturer at the KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KNUST). Has been charged for the missing of KIDNAPPED RHODALINE AMOAH-DARKO.
His wife Rhodaline Amoah-Darko, was a staff at the land commission. She was reported missing on the 30th August 2021, by the husband.
But an investigation led by chief inspector Benjamin Moore Ankrah, has lead to the arrest of the husband Dr. Wilberforce Aggrey and charged of kidnapping his own wife.
Dr. Wilberforce Aggrey of Kodie Road within the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi Campus.
Has been provisionally charged by the Asokwa District Court, and remanded in police custody, as the main suspect behind the disappearance of his wife Rhodaline Amoah-Darko. He would reappear in Court on the 25th of November 2021.
Background
According to police report, Rhodaline Amoah-Darko who lived at Gyenyase Kumasi, was reported missing on August 30th, 2021 after she left home for work and never to return.
The husband who is a Lecturer at the KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KNUST), reported to the police three days later on the 2nd of September 2021.
Police provisional investigations implicated the husband.
Communication from her mobile device allegedly from the suspected kidnappers asking for ransom, was tracked back to a location of (Cellphone Tower) near to her residence.
And the communications records of the husband who believed to be reporting the incident to her relatives, was tracked back to the same (cellphone tower) near to their residence at Gyenyase Kumasi.
According to the police, the husband has provided incoherent statements about the disappearance of his wife. And the Asokwa District Court has granted an order for the police to submit the husband for psychiatric examination, due to the incoherent statements.

According to the police prosecutor Mr. Aggrey admitted in his statements that he sent those messages using the missing person’s cellphone, because he was threatened to do so by her kidnappers. If he refused to adhere to their demands, his family will be in danger.
The husband also told the police that, he has to send his wife to place close to Volta Lake to ensure her safety.
According to the prosecutor Mr Aggrey, is yet to show them where exact he claimed to have taken Ms Rhodaline Amoah-Darko , and her cellphone is missing.
Investigations is still ongoing as Ms Rhodaline Amoah-Darko remained as missing person.
