M N RidwanGhanaian President, John Dramani Mahama, continues his nationwide “Thank You” tour with visits to the Western and Central Regions, set to take place today, February 5, and Thursday, February 6, 2025, respectively.
The tour is a way for Mahama to personally express his gratitude to the people for their unwavering trust and support during his political career.
Mahama’s visit to the Western Region on February 5 will begin with engagements with local leaders, including chiefs, queen mothers, and community elders.
The highlight of the visit will be a grand durbar at the Sekondi Methodist Park, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. It’s expected to be a significant event, as the President acknowledges the role of the region in his political journey.
“Today’s visit is an opportunity for me to show my heartfelt thanks to the people of the Western Region, who have supported me through the years.
I look forward to engaging with them, listening to their concerns, and charting a path forward together,” Mahama shared in a pre-tour statement.
On February 6, Mahama will continue his tour with a visit to the Central Region, where he will address a gathering at the Jubilee Park.
The president’s visit to the Central Region is anticipated to be equally impactful, as he will meet with regional stakeholders to deepen relationships and appreciate the contributions of the people to his leadership.
This visit follows Mahama’s tour of the Volta Region, where he had previously expressed his gratitude.
Each leg of the “Thank You” tour is an opportunity for Mahama to reconnect with his supporters and engage in constructive conversations with key community leaders.
The former President’s focus remains on strengthening ties with the grassroots and continuing to advocate for the issues important to them.
The Western and Central Regions are crucial in Ghana’s political landscape, and Mahama’s visit underscores his ongoing commitment to understanding the concerns of citizens across the country.
His tour is expected to inspire conversations on future national development, as well as the way forward for Ghana’s political landscape.
