Football Club Owner Jonas Sena Dorho Found Murdered on His Farm

The Ghanaian football community is in deep shock and mourning following the tragic and mysterious death of young football administrator Jonas Sena Dorho.

Jonas, the owner of Division Two side Nkoranza Adehyea FC, was allegedly murdered on his farmland in Nkoranza in the Bono East Region on Friday, April 18, 2025 — a day that should have marked the peaceful reflection of Good Friday but instead turned into a heartbreaking chapter for Ghana sports lovers.

The Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association (BARFA) and the Nkoranza Municipal Football Association have both confirmed the devastating news, describing Jonas’s passing as a “huge loss” to the football community and beyond.

A Rising Star Gone Too Soon

At just 33 years old, Jonas Sena Dorho had already made a name for himself as a passionate football enthusiast and a hardworking entrepreneur.

Aside from owning Nkoranza Adehyea FC, he was the CEO of Jon-Dor Ventures, a company known for supplying ammonium sulphate for agricultural purposes.

Many who knew him described him as visionary, humble, and determined to elevate grassroots football. His club had gained traction in recent years and was seen as a future contender for higher-tier football in Ghana.

“He wasn’t just building a club, he was building a legacy,” one local FA member remarked.

Murder Shocks Peaceful Community

According to sources at the Nkoranza Municipal FA, Jonas was attacked by unknown assailants while working on his farmland.

The motive behind the brutal act is still unclear. His lifeless body was found shortly after the attack, triggering grief, fear, and unanswered questions among locals.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made yet.

“This is a sad day for us all. He was a good man, full of dreams,” a grieving friend said.

Tributes Pour In

The Brong Ahafo RFA expressed its sorrow in a statement:
“We mourn with the entire Nkoranza Adehyea FC family for the tragic loss of their team owner. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.”

This heartbreaking loss comes just two months after another football-related tragedy — the death of Asante Kotoko fan, Francis Yaw Frimpong, also known as Pooley.

Ghana football mourns again. May Jonas Sena Dorho rest in peace.
