Two peoples severely wounded with a machete by a fetish priestess, Okumfuo Asantewaa and her family, which includes her husband and her son. This incident took place at a popular information centre at Dabaa in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
A report from MyNewsGh.com on Monday, 13th December, stated that Okumfuo Asantewaa and her family attacked an Evangelist with his members at Dabaa for preaching to win souls for Christ.
Okumfuo Asantewaa had destroyed their public address system and other gadgets with her machete-wielding thugs during the attack.
An elder namely Opoku Acheampong was also hurt on the head and is currently under treatment in an hospital in the area.
Owusu Sekyere, the son of Elder Opoku Acheampong, speaking on an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo, “I was asleep when I received a call that my father has been beaten by Okumfuo Asantewaa, her husband and son for preaching against idol worship”.
“I went to Okumfuo Asantewaa’s house to find out why she and her husband attacked my father. When I got there, Okumfuo Asantewaa told me she is not against preaching but she won’t allow people to condemn idol worship so she attacked my father because he preached against idol worship”, Owusu Sekyere revealed.

He further went on saying, “When I was trying to address the issue, her husband came out with a Cutlass and butchered me and my brother who accompanied me to their house”.
“We were rushed to the Dabaa Hospital for treatment but my brother is in a critical condition”.
For the time being, Okumfuo Asantewaa, her husband and her son are under the Abuakwa police command custody for questioning.
