Body Found in Wheel Well of United Airlines Plane After Hawaii Landing

A tragic discovery was made on Christmas Eve when the body of an unidentified individual was found in the wheel well of a United Airlines plane after it landed in Hawaii.

The Boeing 787-10, operating Flight 202, had departed from Chicago’s O’Hare airport earlier that morning and arrived at Maui’s Kahului airport in the afternoon.

United Airlines confirmed that the person was found in the landing gear compartment, also known as the wheel well, after the plane touched down.

The airline has yet to determine how or when the person accessed the wheel well, which is only reachable from the outside of the aircraft.

The airline is working closely with local law enforcement to investigate the incident.

Maui Police have confirmed the discovery and are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deceased individual.

However, as of now, no further details have been released, including the identity of the person.

The wheel well is a highly dangerous area on an aircraft, typically reserved for the retraction of the landing gear during flight.

The discovery raises concerns about airport security and the safety measures in place to prevent such incidents, especially given the risks involved for anyone attempting to hide in this area during a long-haul flight.

United Airlines has expressed condolences, but the company has not yet provided additional information.

Authorities are continuing their investigation, and further updates are expected as they gather more details.
