A Yamoah“Nothing I Get” hitmaker Fameye, said it’s wrong for an artiste manager to be more famous than his or her artiste.
Fameye warns his colleague artiste to be mindful of the managers they work with to prevent any unfortunate situations or future grudges
Fameye made this known in a tweet. “If you are an artiste and your manager wants to be a superstar than you ? Becareful,
is either you signed a wrong deal or a devil came in a form of an angel,” he wrote
On Thursday in an interview on HItz Fm, Stressed that some artiste are in such problem at the moment but can’t say it but he can say it.
“It was something I wanted to say, it is something that some artiste are going through and I’ve been through that before. When I tweeted it,
A lot of artistes were in my dms cause they liked what i did but they couldn’t say it. I was the one who could say it because when it gets to my turn,
I can say it. And something I had to talk about because boys are going through it”, he said
He also said he can’t sign a label whereby his manager is famous than him and also can’t work with colleague artiste when they are on same level.
“As for me, I can’t as an artiste work with another artiste. Because there will be a competition. I can do that if I am in a position where
I have a big record label, but to sign an artiste who is on the same level as me. We can’t be doing the same work and be struggling, it will be problematic”.
Fameye’s tweet could be a wakeup call to many artiste to know the manager to work with.
