Breaking! Truck Smashes Into Classroom, Claiming Lives

Zambia, a tragic incident has left the nation in shock, three students were confirmed de@d and several others injured following a fatal accident at Kasaka Secondary School in Gomba on Tuesday afternoon.

According to local media reports, the accident occurred at around 3:30 PM when the driver of a Sino truck lost control of the vehicle and veered into one of the school buildings, specifically the computer lab and Senior Four West classroom, which were occupied by students at the time.

The driver is said to have hit the school gate first before crashing into the building, killing three students on the spot.

In the aftermath of the accident, 18 other students were injured and immediately rushed to nearby medical facilities to receive treatment, according to Traffic Police Spokesperson ASP Faridah Nampiim.

The school head teacher, Mr. Kefasi Katumba, has spoken out about the incident, stating that the driver of the truck appeared to have failed to negotiate a corner and mistakenly believed that hitting the school gate would stop the vehicle. Unfortunately, the truck continued to move and crashed into the school building.

Following the tragedy, the school’s management has reportedly sent other students home until next Monday to allow them to recover from the shock of the incident.

The news of this devastating accident has sent shockwaves throughout the nation, with many expressing their condolences and calling for better safety measures on the roads to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.

Meanwhile, the police have reportedly launched an investigation into the accident and are working to determine the exact cause of the crash.
