17,439 Nurses and Midwives Deployed Nationwide for 2025 Service

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the deployment of 17,439 nurses and midwives to health facilities across Ghana as part of the 2025 national service programme.

According to an official statement released earlier today, the rotation for these healthcare professionals is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 2, 2025.

The move is part of efforts to strengthen the delivery of healthcare services across the country, especially in under-resourced regions.

The deployment covers all 16 regions, with the aim of boosting staffing levels at public hospitals, clinics, and health centers.

In addition to the deployment, regional validation and registration have commenced and will run until Friday, May 9, 2025. The NSA is urging all deployed personnel to complete their validation process at the regional level promptly, as it is a mandatory step before assuming duty.

The registration process is being carried out at designated centers in each region. Service personnel are required to present their posting letters, valid national IDs, and relevant educational documents.

Officials from the National Service Authority have encouraged the new nurses and midwives to approach their duties with dedication, professionalism, and compassion, as their work will directly impact lives in their assigned communities.

This year’s deployment comes at a critical time when the healthcare sector continues to face growing demand, especially in remote and rural areas.
