Volta Region Set to Host Mahama for Gratitude Visit This Friday

Former President John Dramani Mahama is set to visit the Volta Region on Friday, January 24, to express his heartfelt gratitude to the region’s people for their overwhelming support during the 2024 general elections.

In a press release issued by Kafui Agbleze, the Volta Regional Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mahama’s visit is framed as a “gratitude tour” to honor the trust and confidence placed in him by the chiefs and residents of the Volta Region.

The region played a pivotal role in his re-election bid, contributing a remarkable 90.11% of the total votes cast in the 2024 presidential race.

Additionally, the region handed the NDC a clean sweep of all 18 parliamentary seats, including the traditionally contested Hohoe constituency.

The thanksgiving event will take place at the Ho Jubilee Park, beginning at 12:00 PM on Friday.

Agbleze encouraged all NDC members, supporters, and the general public to attend the event, which will celebrate the immense support the party received from the Volta Region in the elections.

In his statement, Agbleze underscored the importance of the region’s support in Mahama’s victory and thanked the people for their unwavering dedication to the NDC.

The visit marks a significant moment of appreciation from Mahama, who is eager to personally thank the region for its role in securing his second term in office.

The Ho Jubilee Park is expected to host a large turnout as party members and the community gather to show their continued support for Mahama’s leadership.
