Tema Motorway – N1 Has Finally Been Opened To Motorist

This follows the completion of rehabilitation on the Lakplakpa bridge along the Tema-Accra bound lane..
A report filed by 3News.com noted that due to the repair works on the bridge, the Tema-Accra bound traffic was diverted onto the Accra-Tema bound lane since Monday, June 13, 2022, which caused a huge traffic build-up.
“We thank motorists and commuters for their patience and adherence to the directives from the Traffic Police,” a statement by the Police said on Friday June 17.

The Kwame Nkrumah Motorway – N1 has been opened to full traffic at 6:00 am this morning following the completion of repair works on the Lakplakpa bridge along the Tema-Accra bound lane.

Meanwhile, the Tema Motorway will undergo reconstruction into 6 lanes from August 2022, according to Roads and Highways Minister, Kwasi Amoako-Atta.
