Joana Krah who Faked her own kidnapping a few weeks ago, that threw the whole country into disbelieved due to the passed nature of “Takoradi kidnapped Girls “.
But this time round, Joana Krah the 29 years old wasn’t missing, nor was she a victim of kidnapping either as she confessed to the Takoradi Harbour Circuit court.
Tuesday 26th October Joana Krah appeared before the Takoradi Harbour Circuit Court A, and pleaded guilty of all charges against her.

The case was presided over by Michael Kojo Ampedu. She was sentence to 8 years in prison, 2 years for publication of false news, and 6 years for deceiving a public officer.
But the judge reduced the sentence to 6 years. by taking into consideration that Mrs Joana Krah was a first time offender.
After the 6 years sentence was handed to Mrs Joana Krah.
The Western Region Office of the Legal Aid Commissioner, Ebo Donkor, and her lawyer has expressed how the Commissioner was ready to lead an efforts of appealing to the sentence of Joana Krah.
In a short statement, Ebo Donkor, suggests that the six- years jails for the offender is bit “Rasping”.
He said “When we heard of the sentencing, we thought the Punishment was on the high side and shouldn’t have been so”.
Due to the publication of false news and the deceiving the public officer, the offender, Joana Krah Akos was jailed for six years on Tuesday by the Michael Ampadu Circuit court in Takoradi.
In passing the sentence, His Honour Michael Ampadu said that Takoradi is becoming synonymous with kidnapping and also was disturbed that most of the cases turned out to be false .
Ebo Donkor admitted that the cases of kidnap being faked is tarnishing the name of Sekondi-Takoradi on the Wednesday edition of the ”Connect FM’s morning show, Omanbapa” .
The 29 years old lady, Joana Krah Akos, has one child who is 3 years old . Also, she did not waste time when she appeared in court . She herself confessed to the fake kidnap. Considering this, the sentence should have been somewhat lighter.
But the public and Sekondi-Takoradi resident appears to agree with the six years jail sentence.
Residents of the Sekondi-Takoradi agree with the Judge’s observation that kidnapping cases are tarnishing the image of Sekondi-Takoradi and therefore, this sentence would serve as deterrent.
