Sensational Ghanaian Rapper who is popularly known in the music industry as ” BLACK SHERIF”real name Mohammed Ismail Sherif, who is well known for his song second sermon featured by Nigerian super-star “BURNA BOY” and his new single title (Kwaku the traveller) which is number 1 on the Nigeria apple.
Black Sherif, who is conquering the music world since bursting in to the music scene, is not happy been compared to his senior musicians like Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale. Even though he sees is as a step to the right direction, but still can’t fathom or see the need of such comparison, and say those musicians have already proven their legendary status in the music industry.
Speaking with Andy Dosty, host of the show” I don’t support that, music fans will always be music fans, and so it is left with us to do better. there is no way I would downplay someone’s work or something. I respect the game, and I won’t compare myself to bigger names because that is the game, you don’t do that.”
Black Sherif song, kwaku the traveller which was released on Thursday March,31st 2022, made it to number one on Apple music in Nigeria, aside topping most streamed hip hop music in Ghana.
Most Ghanaians and Nigerians have jump to the “Kwaku the traveller” challenge with some claiming Black Sherif is a Nigerian. Black Sherif who got the genuine love from big musician like Rapper Medikal, Sonnie Badu who think Black Sherif can win Grammy for Ghana.
This comparison displeased dance hall artist Shatta Wale, who noted that is a downplay, is Black Sherif time,stop the comparison and allow him to shine.
Black Sherif, who think he might have just ended up managing his father’s spare parts business if he failed at music because he loved helping his father.
