Popular YouTuber MrBeast Gets Engaged To Girlfriend Thea Booysen

YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Thea Booysen.

The 26-year-old content creator proposed to Thea, 27, on Christmas Day in a touching moment shared with both of their families.

In an interview with People, Thea described the surprise proposal. “My family flew in from South Africa for Christmas, and we planned to celebrate together in our home.

While opening presents, he asked me to close my eyes for the very last gift because it was a surprise,” she recalled.

MrBeast added his personal touch to the moment, making sure the proposal was unforgettable.

“I dropped a big box to make some noise before pulling out the real gift, a ring. Then I got down on one knee. I wanted to catch her completely off guard,” he explained.

“Thea is so close to her family, so having them there was really important. Christmas was perfect since her family had traveled all the way from the other side of the world.”

The couple’s journey together began in 2022, when they met at a dinner party in South Africa hosted by a mutual friend.

MrBeast spoke fondly of that first meeting, saying, “Thea’s brilliance stood out immediately.

She’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her interests, like her work as an author. I kept thinking, ‘She’s so smart and beautiful.’ Within minutes, I knew I wanted to date her, and luckily, she felt the same spark.”

Thea, too, was struck by MrBeast’s down-to-earth nature. “I expected him to have this big persona, but he was so kind, intelligent, and humble.

He’s genuinely nice, with no ego at all,” she shared.

As the couple plans their wedding, they’ve shared that they envision a simple, intimate celebration on a distant island.

“It’s not going to be extravagant, just an intimate and beautiful gathering with close family and friends,” said Thea.
