Nora Häuptle Named New Coach Of The Black Queens

According to the Ghana Football Association, Swiss coach Nora Häuptle has been named the new head coach of the Black Queens (GFA).

On January 5, the Ghana FA’s website published an official announcement iterating as follows:

“Nora Häuptle has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Senior Women’s national team – otherwise known as Black Queens. 

“The 39-year-old former Swiss International is a product of the University of Bern where she attained her Masters in Sports Sciences – also a Bachelor of Philosophy and Minor in Theatre Sciences. 

“Nora holds a UEFA Pro Licence certificate and has previously worked as an Instructor for the Swiss Football Association.”

Nora Häuptle will receive assistance from Joyce Boatey-Agyei and Aboagye Dacosta while she is a member of the Black Queens.

Joyce Boatey-Agyei was formerly the head coach of the Girls U-15 national team in addition to being a physical education tutor and coach at Kumasi Girls Senior High School.

Moreover, former Asante Kotoko player Aboagye Dacosta is currently Ashtown Ladies’ head coach in Kumasi’s Women’s Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Black Queens’ new technical staff has already started working to prepare for the 2023 WAFU Zone B Women’s Cup of Nations and the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifications
