M N RidwanIn his first meeting with staff members at the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Acting Director-General Mohammed Abdul Salam expressed a commitment to open communication and collective growth.
His message was clear: he’s not here to impose new changes but to learn and grow alongside the NLA team.
“I’m here to listen and learn from you,” Abdul Salam said, emphasizing that the insights and experiences of the staff are invaluable.
“Together, we can bring fresh ideas that align with our shared vision for the NLA.”
Abdul Salam’s appointment comes after Sammi Awuku resigned as Director-General to focus on his duties as the Member of Parliament for Akuapim North Constituency.
Acknowledging Awuku’s legacy, Abdul Salam made it clear that while changes are necessary, they will be implemented gradually and in a way that aligns with the authority’s overall goals.
He encouraged staff to share their thoughts and suggestions, stressing the importance of teamwork in achieving the NLA’s objectives.
This approach, he hopes, will foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and innovation, where both staff and leadership collaborate for the betterment of the organization.
Abdul Salam’s leadership style, focused on humility and collaboration, aims to build on the NLA’s success and ensure continued progress in the lottery sector.
His new tenure marks a promising chapter for the authority as it looks to meet its goals with unity and fresh perspectives.
