M N RidwanIn a strong commitment to the peace and stability of Bawku, President John Dramani Mahama has assured the people of the northern Ghanaian region that their safety and security will be a top priority under his administration.
The President made the pledge during a visit to the palace of Bawku Naaba Zug-Raan Naba Azoka II on January 15, 2025.
Addressing the people of Bawku, Mahama emphasized the importance of peace in enabling the nation’s progress, stating that every citizen should be able to go about their daily activities without fear of violence or insecurity.
He further assured the people that his government was fully aware of the ongoing issues in the region and would take swift and decisive action to restore lasting peace.
“I will appeal to you to exercise patience and restraint and to let you know that I am apprised of the issues and I’m going to deal with it.
I can assure you, have trust in this administration that by the grace of God, permanent peace is going to come back to Bawku,” Mahama said.
