Kumawood Actor C Confion, Protégé of Dr Likee, Dies at 29

The Kumawood movie industry has been hit with tragic news, as comic actor and skitmaker C Confion, whose real name was Bright Owusu, has reportedly passed away.

According to reports, C Confion died in the early hours of Friday, December 20, 2024, after being hospitalized at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi. His death follows days of serious health concerns, which had led to his hospitalization.

C Confion, a well-known protégé of Kumawood actor Akwasi Antwi, better known as Ras Nene or Dr Likee, was reportedly struggling with illness for some time before his passing.

The news of his death quickly spread across social media, with fans and colleagues alike expressing their shock and sadness.

Dr Likee, who is highly regarded for his contributions to Ghana’s entertainment industry, had previously appealed to the public for prayers for C Confion, urging them to support the actor in his recovery.

However, despite the efforts and prayers, C Confion’s condition worsened, and he passed away just days after being rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The passing of the young actor has left the Kumawood community in mourning, with many stars, including Oboy Siki, describing his condition as dire.
