M N RidwanMohammed Kudus is back in action after completing his five-game suspension and is available for selection when West Ham United face Leicester City in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has been out of action for nearly two months after receiving a red card for an altercation with Tottenham players in October.
Kudus was initially handed a three-game suspension, which was later extended to five games, along with a £60,000 fine.
It has been a frustrating period for the talented midfielder, who had made an impressive start to the season with West Ham, scoring two goals in eight Premier League appearances, including a memorable strike against Manchester City and another goal against Tottenham.
West Ham’s head coach, Julen Lopetegui, expressed his satisfaction at Kudus’ return.
“Let’s see what’s going to happen with [Mohammed Kudus].
We’re not going to talk about the line-up, but it’s true that he’s now available after being out for a long time,” Lopetegui told the press.
“He’s ready, working well, and happy to be back, which is good news for us because we have a lot of upcoming matches in a row. It’s a good thing we have as many options as possible for these games.”
Kudus’ return will be a welcome boost for West Ham as they navigate a busy period with numerous matches on the horizon.
His versatility, skill, and attacking flair make him a key player for the Hammers, and Lopetegui is hopeful that Kudus can quickly return to his best form.
The Ghanaian international’s presence in the squad will provide much-needed depth for West Ham as they look to maintain their momentum in the Premier League.
With his first match back on the horizon, all eyes will be on Kudus to see how he performs after his suspension.
