The rapper, Shawn Corey Carter, popularly known as Jay-Z, officially joined Instagram as he receives a follow from a certain singer.
On Tuesday November 2, the recent Rock and Roll hall of fame inductee, JAY-Z officially created an Instagram account to the delight of his fans all around the world. The Instagram account, @jayz review the throwback pictures of the rapper JAY-Z before becoming the global superstar he is today.
He already had over one million followers after just five hours of the account activation, currently, it sits at 1.6 million followers and counting. His account had a special extra follower, Beyoncé.
The 40-years old singer, Beyoncé had an active Instagram account for years, in which the accounts she followed sat at zero. The singer, Beyoncé, now has added her husband, JAY-Z, to the list of the account she follows, which has made some sort of history.
The rapper JAY-Z, following the footsteps of his wife, Beyoncé, is only following one account which turns out to be his wife’s Beyoncé. The rapper, JAY-Z‘s page, as at now is used to promote his latest film, The Harder They Fall.

JAY-Z who produced the movie, posted on his stories, a countdown to the movie, which hits theatre’s and Netflix on the 3rd of November.
While it’s very uncommon to see the rapper in social media, he dropped a surprise tweets after being inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 30.
He promised to give a few additional shout-out in the social media site when he was delivering a speech at the ceremony.
