M N RidwanActor Will Smith has addressed the growing rumours and online memes that have wrongfully linked him to the legal troubles surrounding music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
During a performance at The Observatory North Park in San Diego on December 13, 2024, Smith took the opportunity to set the record straight.
In a clip from the show, Smith directly confronted the memes circulating on social media, saying, “I don’t have s*** to do with Puffy, so y’all can stop all the memes.”
He expressed frustration with the spread of misinformation and the challenges of separating truth from fiction in today’s digital age.
Smith also took a light-hearted approach to dismissing the allegations, joking about the situation and emphasizing that he’s not involved in any of the scandalous details surrounding Diddy.
Smith playfully referenced reports that federal authorities had found bottles of baby oil at Diddy’s residences, humorously adding that he doesn’t even like the substance.
The actor also clarified that while he and Diddy have shared moments at public events, their relationship remains strictly professional.
“Obviously, Diddy and I know each other,” Smith said, referring to photos of them together at various events.
“But that’s the extent—I wasn’t down to get down at any of Diddy’s alleged parties.”
Diddy, who is currently facing serious charges including racketeering conspiracy, s3x trafficking, and transportation for pr0stitution, remains in custody at MDC Brooklyn in New York.
His trial is set to begin in May 2025. Smith made it clear that he is not involved in any of Diddy’s legal issues.
“Diddy’s dealing with a ton of legal drama, but that’s his business—I’m not involved in it,” Smith concluded.
