Following their appearance before the Asokore Mampong District Court today, August 3, 2022, the six were remanded.
Richard Adu Darko, the accused’s attorney, emphasized that students are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court with appropriate jurisdiction.
He said he would visit the appropriate authorities to obtain bail for the six students so they could take the end-of-semester exams.
Therefore, individuals are innocent until they enter a plea of guilty or a court of competent jurisdiction declares them guilty.
They were brought here to be remanded into legal custody at this particular time, as this is a court of first instance.
