Federal prosecutors have charged Ex-President Trump over his efforts to overturn the presidential results of the 2020 election.

The indictment caps an inquiry into events surrounding the deadly January 6 riot at Capitol.

The indictment claims the then-president allegedly used “deceit” to get election officials in seven states to “subvert the legitimate election results and change electoral votes”.

The 45-page indictment charges six unnamed co-conspirators they include four lawyers, a justice, department official and a political consultant.
