Mendy Found Not Guilty of rape and attempted rape Former Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy, found not guilty of all allegations made against him by six women.
Mendy, a 28-year-old left back was accused of attacking a 24-year-old woman in his mansion in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire in October 2020.
Another woman aged 29, who said Mendy attempted to rape her and had also molested her at his home two years earlier.
The woman accused him of assaulting them in his mansion often at illegal parties held during Covid Lockdowns.
Earlier this year, Mendy, found guilty of sexual offences made against him by a number of women, but the jury couldn’t reach verdicts on the two charges.
She alleged He took her phone from her and led her to a locked bedroom. Mendy threw her phone onto the bed and alleged to rape her when she went to retrieve it.
Mendy told the jury the woman agreed to play around and later swapped details to connect on Snapchat.
The jury asked him if he held her down or forced her onto the bed. He said “NO”.

His solicitor Jenny Wiltshire said “Benjamin Mendy would like to thank the members of the jury for focusing on the evidence in his trial,
Rather than on the rumor that have followed this case from the outset”.
The former French International jury cleared him after a retrial at Chester crown court in UK.
Mendy was unemployed after the allegation by six women, which destroyed his football career.
His contract in Manchester City expired at the end of June.
The club stopped paying him in September 2021, shortly after charged.
Pep Guardiola, his manager was a character witness at his first trial, where he described Mendy as a “really good boy”.
