Bel-Cola Named Ghana’s Product of the Year at GBA

Bel-Cola has taken home the top prize at this year’s Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA), earning the prestigious Product of the Year title for 2024.

The recognition cements Bel-Cola’s reputation as a household favourite and a standout in Ghana’s competitive beverage industry.

Organised by Global Media Alliance, the GBA honours excellence in taste, quality, innovation, and consumer satisfaction. Bel-Cola’s win this year reflects not only strong market performance but also a loyal consumer base and consistent product excellence.

“This award is a milestone in our journey, and it belongs to every single person behind this brand,” said Magnus Dey, Marketing Manager at Blow Chem Industries—the producers of Bel-Cola.

“To our hardworking staff and our loyal consumers, we say a heartfelt thank you. This recognition is yours as much as it is ours.”

Dey described the award as more than just a win—it’s a call to action. “This is only the beginning.

We’re more energised than ever to push boundaries and make Ghana proud,” he said. “We promise to continue innovating and delivering top-quality beverages that meet global standards while celebrating Ghanaian pride.”

Bel-Cola has grown into a firm favourite among soft drink lovers, praised for its bold flavour, premium ingredients, and consistent quality. Its position as CSD of the Year (Carbonated Soft Drink) in the same awards further highlights its strong market presence.

The 2024 GBA event, themed “Inspiring Excellence, Promoting Local Industry,” brought together key stakeholders, industry players, and policymakers for a night of celebration and recognition. The awards spotlight the vital role the beverage industry plays in Ghana’s economy and culture.

Other notable winners this year included Heritage Beer for Beer of the Year, Alomo Bitters for Bitters of the Year, and Bel Aqua Mineral Water—also produced by Blow Chem Industries—for Water of the Year.

The double win for Bel-Cola and Bel Aqua positions Blow Chem Industries as a powerhouse in Ghana’s beverage scene.

As Bel-Cola celebrates its victory, Ghanaians can expect even more innovation and exciting offerings from a brand that has proven itself worthy of national pride.
