A pregnant woman was allegedly killed by unknown men in Bawku on Tuesday after refusing to offer direction to the suspects.
A group of women calling themselves Concerned Women of Bawku are requesting for justice for the murdered pregnant woman.
The victim, who’s name was given as Rukaya Awudu, was murdered when she refused to give directions to a certain David’s house to her claimed blood thirties killers.
The group leader, Poanab Elizabeth Azonko described the incident as barbaric and called for instantly arrest and punishing of two person who they claim allegedly killed Rukaya Awudu.
The National Peace Council of Ghana (NPC) has urged the crisis of Bawku to settle their difference through negotiations and dialogue.
According to report, one person had been killed and several people got injured during hours of random shootings in Bawku in the Upper East Region on Monday 27 December.
A similar incident occurs some few weeks which triggers the government to enforced a curfew in the area.

According to report, the continue shooting is due to the result of faction who want to perform the funeral of a chief who died 41 years ago to carry out in the area.
The Chairman of the National Peace Council, Rev Erntest Adu Gyamfi in a short statement, ”I wishes to call on all sides of the conflict to cease fire and seek non-violent ways to address their grievances”.
According to the National Peace Council they have been working hard behind the scenes, and engaging all parties involved through dialogues and other peaceful channels to find a long lasting solution to crisis in the area.
